| 描述： | At Stapleford Park Steam Fair. The miniature railway began life in 1958 and featured in a 1960's episode of the television show The Avengers called 'The Gravediggers', where Emma Peel was tied to the railway track. A blue plaque marks the spot. The route is nearly 2 miles long, running through the parkland and crossing the river Eye on various bridges. There is an 80 metre long tunnel with the West portal a likeness of Box Tunnel and the East portal, of Primrose Tunnel. The fairground is heard in the background as New York Central 484 Niagara class express passenger locomotive No.6019 hurries past towards the station sounding it's chime whistle as it enters the Primrose portal of the 80 metre long tunnel. |
