| 描述: | The largest of the bells at Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral in Paris, France, ringing alone on Christmas Day in 2011. The bell is called Emmanuel and is a bourdon, meaning the largest of a set of bells. On this occasion it was rung first and then rung with the other bells in the cathedral to announce the evening mass. This is a small excerpt from a complete 9minute recording of the bells that I have also uploaded. Recorded on the ground about 100 feet southwest of the south tower (where this large bell resides). There are always people milling about the cathedral so there is some background noise of people walking and talking. Recorded in 96 kHz / 24bit stereo with a Zoom H4n handheld, using builtin mics |
