描述: | Now this is one of my favourite recordings. This is a true binaural recording of a steam locomotive arriving at TanYBwlch railway station on the Ffestiniog steam railway in west Wales, UK. The train whistles as it approaches and then passes by my position before coming to a halt. The railway guard also walks past asking for tickets and then shouts the station name as the train stops. It was a calm and dry day, giving perfect recording conditions as the 18:10 to Porthmadog passed. The Ffestiniog railway's website can be found here: http://www.festrail.co.uk Recording date: 2011/08/04Recording location: TanYBwlch, the vale of Ffestiniog, Wales, UK. Recording equipment: The Sound Professional's head mounted binaural microphones, into the Olympus DM5 digital recorder. . |
