The noise of water falling in lock. 02.10 15.47 entering and moor of the barge. Idle running of the diesel ships engine and the people talking. The noise of propellerwater. 08.20 opening and closing of a littercontainer by the shipmates. 10.35 – 13.20 creaking of the massive oak lock doors, caused by the rising water (sounds like hammering). 15.40 – 17.30 Leaving gate of the party boat17.30 – 20.03 Leaving gate of the cargoship20.03 sound of waterwaves in sluice.21.10 deep bangsound of the trafficbridge closing21.10 waves, traffic and kids of a schoolclass passing the sluicebridge http://static.panoramio.com/photos/medium/87661230.jpg23.00 – 36.00 a to long tugboat enters the lock. The two parts of the ship had to be disconnected to fit in the sluice. This gives a lot of great noise. You hear the Germans speaking shipmates communicate by a walkietalkie, the rumble noise of the shippart hitting each other and the concrete walls of the lock.
