| 描述: | 20160604Logan, Ohio In late spring 2016, seventeenyear cicadas emerged in a section of the United States that includes eastern Ohio. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar. This recording was made outside a residence in Logan, Ohio. Cicadas can be heard at multiple distances: the quiet, even roar of cicadas some distance away, the pulsating song of nearby cicadas, and the occasional click of a single cicada approaching the phone. In the first third of the clip, you can hear M. cassini and in the last third of the clip, you can hear M. septendecim. (See http://www.cicadamania.com/audio/ ) Sound recorded using the builtin mic on an iPhone 5. |
