| 描述: | This recording is part of the mabmicrophonecomparisonwatersample pack. The three samples in this series were recorded simultaneously (fromapproximately the same position) with three different standard stereomicrophone arrangements: midside (mixed into standard AB), with aJecklin disk, and with a Crown SASSP quasibinaural PZM system. Tofacilitate comparison, no EQ or other filtering (exceptlevel normalization and midside decoding, as needed) has been applied. The 2'28" recordings capture small, choppy waves breaking against therocky shore of the San Francisco Bay at Cesar Chavez Park inBerkeley, CA (USA) on October 1, 2006. The microphones were positionedapproximately 6 feet (2 meters) from the Bay's edge, oriented toward thewater. A small airplane flying overhead becomes audible at about one minute into the recording. This recording was made with a Crown PZM SASSPMKII quasibinaural"artificial head" microphone (with the standard windcover)connected to a Marantz PMD671 digital recorder at 96K/24bits. |
