| 描述: | Ahhh this is more like it. Surprisingly good quality sound processing done in a graphics editor.I have finally spent a bit more time converting sound files to RAW format, loading them up into Paint Shop Pro and processing them through a variety of effects before converting back to sound. As I have been working with pictures in 256 gray scale (which are 8 bit) I have realised that the proper results I was looking for would require that I converted the samples to 8 bit before converting the to RAW format. So, essentially, all the sound processing was done in 8 bit (as greyscale images), before converting back to 8 bit audio, and then 16 bit audio wav.To obtain musical effects, it is important to adjust picture height on import to the graphics editor to (or close to)a multiple of a wavelength. The file contains 7 individual sounds:1) the original sound (unprocessed)2) Paint Shop Pro 'sharpen' effect. Sounds like a boost to high frequencies.3) Paint Shop Pro 'sharpen' effect, applied 4 times. I have not done a spectral analysis, but sounds like in addition to a stronger high freq boost, there are is also some nonharmonic contents present (dissonant frequencies).4) Vertical motion blur (3 pixels length). Sounds like a low pass filter.5)Saved the picture file as a jpeg file with a compression factor of 18. Then opened the jpeg file and converted back to RAW, which was then imported to the sound editor. This processing adds noise to the sound.6) One of my favourites: the Paint Shop Pro 'punch' effect. Sounds like Frequency Modulation.7) Picture stretched (height 200). Stretches the sound without affecting pitch. |
