| 描述: | Which are the main soundmarks of the Barceloneta fishermen's port? Have these sounds changed through time? These questions were asked to local fishermen in order to investigate (through) sound within this peculiar environment. In this series of recordings you can appreciate the fishermen's accents and jargon (mainly Andalusian), their description of their own soundmarks (boat sounds, seagulls, voices, waves), reflections on fishermen life struggles, pleasures and values, and occasionally jokes and songs. In this recording, "el Vega" (Barceloneta resident and fisherman for 52 years) and younger André say the most representatives sounds of the port are the sale, the fishermen's commentaries and the motors of the boats, then they talk about what it means to be a fisherman and how this neighborhood has changed.Everything in this pack was recorded within the original soundscape. In the same pack, you will find separate recordings for port ambient and specific sounds connected with the fishermen's work and identity.Sound recorded with a Zoom H4n at the Barceloneta fishermen's port (Moll del Rellotge) on April 10th 2015 between 8 and 10:30 AM. |
