He was extra close to my heart and I've taken it pretty hard. I started working on my secret mixter track a day after he passed, and that night it was pouring rain in the dark night. I stood outside in the rain, just as this song describes, my tears blending with the raindrops. Suddenly I started dancing Somehow it helped heal me, and this song was born. Tanzmob's remix of illi was such an awesome frame for this song, and I cut, chopped, and copied. His excellent production, sounds and changes really inspired me in a new way. Although I have no idea what he's saying in the rap section, it felt right to include it :) spinningmerkaba played upright Zeta bass for me (channeling Tony Levin) and I cut, zoomed, pasted, aligned. I felt like I was channeling Peter Gabriel he also played a great trumpet track that i manipulated. I'll bounce pella and stems soon. Thanks for listening.
