| 描述: | Which are the main soundmarks of the Barceloneta fishermen's port? Have these sounds changed through time? These questions were asked to local fishermen in order to investigate (through) sound within this peculiar environment. In this series of recordings you can appreciate the fishermen's accents and jargon (mainly Andalusian), their description of their own soundmarks (boat sounds, seagulls, voices, waves), reflections on fishermen life struggles, pleasures and values, and occasionally jokes and songs. In this recording, Manué describes the basic jargon of fishing with nets: "Acalá" is used when throwing the nets and "Arrea" when pulling them up. This recording is therefore symbolically situated in the sea, where fishing takes place, although it was recorded at the port. In the same pack, you will find separate recordings for port ambient and specific sounds connected with the fishermen's work and identity.Sound recorded with a Zoom H4n at the Barceloneta fishermen's port (Moll del Rellotge) on April 10th 2015 between 8 and 10:30 AM. |
