| 描述: | Excerpt of a recording of wind through a wire fence near the top of a hill, picked up by two contact microphones. The mics were placed at points along the fence several meters apart, and also at different heights; one mic on a single isolated strand at the top while the other was attached to the top of a grid of wires just underneath (but a few meters along). As well as the sound of wind, there is lots of metallic / granular sound of the wires hitting fence posts and some hints of pitched resonance in the wire at times. Protip: don't let the cables of contact mics dangle freely in a setup like this or they will make contact with the wire near the mics in an intrusive way (this recording does not feature these intrusions, all the clangy noises are from more distant bits of wire). This sample has been mildly processed to remove a couple of clicks, I still detect some noise probably from a dodgy cable connection on the left hand channel at times. Recorded with a Sony PCMM10 and using JrF hydrophones as contact mics. 24bit 96khz wav. |
