Behind me some trees and bushes with a lake 'Haarsteegse wiel' and than a large polder, used as farmland, in front. You can see my gear standing there. Some common tits (titmouse) singing, a crow, geese and a few other birds I do not know. The hum of far traffic and a tractor riding there. Pick out your part for your film, movie or video History about the 'Haarsteegse wiel' area When a dike breaks, water runs into the polder and creates a 'wiel' (wheel) because of the whirlpool behind the dike. That is what happens 1610. An enormous icedam blocked the river Maas and the dike here broke. The power of the running water created the 'Haarsteegse wiel'. It happened again in 1740.
