This was written for the Spring 2014 Secret Mixter, where I was assigned to Quarkstar. Since the creative brief was "Transitions and Transformations", I thought I would take a warmsounding yet bittersweet springtime ballad, and transform it into a shivery tale about a place where the transition between Winter and Spring are far more subtle than many of us experience. The audio clips are from the film "Eskimos: Winter in Western Alaska" (1950), Prod: Frederick Machetanz, Public Domain (copyright expired); from Prelinger Archives via https://archive.org/details/EskimosW1950 Download formats available so far are MP3 (256k) and FLAC (16bit 48kHz).
