WHO KNOWS WHAT ANIMAL I HAVE RECORDED? edit This sound is from a tiny water insect called: lesser water boatman ( Micronecta Scholtzi, Corixa punctata ).It is his Singing penis; see the BBC article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/13958630 Location: 51° 43' 28.40" N 5° 14' 42.44" E, ditch Hennen weide, Engelen, The Netherlands. Conditions: summer, July 29th, 2014, 12.10 noon, no wind. Gear chain: Aquarian Audio Hydrophones H2a XLR 2, just under the surface at the edge of a 50 cm deep polderditch in Holland > Sound Devices 302 >Tascam dr100 Mk2.
