| 描述: | Recorded on 3202014 with 2 NT1A mics and a Tascam DR680 (Busman mod). Mics were spaced with 120 degree angles and 21cm's between them, then angled parallel to the ground (or water) about 2 feet above the water. Audio was recorded at about 2 am while things were pretty quiet. Winds were about 4mph out of the north and steady, temps about 50°F/10°C. Location was on the southwest side of lake sam rayburn in east texas. Not much to say about this one, just some nice waves, not too many boats that night, turned out descent. For the technically interested: Main eq'ing I did was to smooth out the NT1A mics in the upper frequencies because they tend to be a little bit bright. I used the Rode NT1A frequency response chart from their website. Using that chart I just eq'd some lowshelf upwards and some midrange/hifreq pockets downwards to flatten things out. I also employed a typical mastering technique whereby each octave above about 4kHz is 6 dB lower in volume than the octave before it. That's about it. Samples above are chopped off at 11000 Hz and upwards by Freesound to conserve bandwidth (understandably), but the downloaded version is full quality (sounds way better, in other words) no antialiasing sounds in the downloaded file. Just for a new experience: Try listening to this recording while simultaneously playing some type of music you enjoy from youtube my own personal preference is this mix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v2ABlQXmbcp8 Enjoy |
